| Introduction | "One should not become an artist because he can, but because he must. It is only for those that would be miserable without it." The Agony & The Ecstacy This quote, along with joining an Art Club at a local gallery, combined with having an art professor, almost a decade ago, take me from the classroom to the hallway to knock sense into me "that I was an artist and the sooner I acknowledged it the happier I'd be", I have decided to make the move toward taking myself, and art, more seriously. I have coined myself an "aspiring fiber artist" and it is my hope to quickly remove aspiring from the picture and to give myself permission to create. |
