| Introduction | I have always loved old things; objects with character in their description and a fanciful story that tells of their place in time. In my mind, their beauty and inspiration lies in their imperfection; chippy paint… rusted metal… tarnished mirrors… faded photographs. For the past 15 years I have criss-crossed the country searching for such imperfect, and well-loved treasures and have offered them for sale in my vintage home and garden retail business, LA VERANDA (see cottage living). vintage ambiance Vintage Ambiance was established to combine my ongoing love of old imperfect objects, with the interests of Northwest brides, event planners, designers, and photographers to create a unique vintage atmosphere at their events. We have a fabulous, varied, and quickly growing collection: from large architectural elements to small bottle vases; items that reflect rustic/farm, shabby chic, as well as the European countryside. We love to share ideas as to how our strictly authentic vintage inventory can be used and if we don’t have what you are looking for, we will gladly use our resources to help locate appropriate pieces. |
