| Introduction | Afterthefire1964 is a widow with two wonderful sons. Our family spent approximately six years living with an end-stage alcoholic who was my husband of 25 years. My husband died in June 2012. This blog has been created because of a lack of online resources for families in similar situations. Afterthefire1964 is an IT administrator at a regional university in the southwestern United States. In addition to her paying job, she is a composer and ethnomusicologist with a well-noted reputation. She is also a second degree black belt in American karate and she and her sons compete regularly in tournaments on the local, regional and national level. |
