Introduction Hilda Baker is passionate about encouraging people to break free of the spirit of unworthiness and step boldly into a new joy-filled life of servant leadership. As the author of Stand at the Cross Roads, she shares the true story of her journey from ‘lost to found’ with courageous honesty and quirky humor. With her life in ruins, Hilda experienced the power of God's grace when He picked her up, dusted her off and pointed her to a new life. Hitching up a U-Haul trailer crammed with her worldly possessions, and with her sixteen-year-old daughter in tow, she set out for that improbable new life. The story unfolds in suburban Houston; a small, rural Texas town; and a remote, rugged wilderness ~ completely shattering the commonly held belief that God no longer does anything spectacular in ordinary, imperfect lives. God is still a faithful, prayer answering God, and Hilda is committed to sharing that message with as many people as possible Active with the Brazos Valley Emmaus Community, Hilda is also a founding member of the Area 3:16 Church in Caldwell, TX; and the founder and director of the Cross Roads Christian Retreat in Chriesman, TX.
