| Introduction | Maja has been skiing for 9 years and is now in her second year of K1 competitive racing. K1 is the first level of ski racing governed by FIS and Alpine Canada. Each level spans two years.It is very competitive, lots of hard work and a huge time commitment by the athletes and their families. Maja will ski more than 70 days this year and attend races all over the province. Maja also plays house league soccer, Junior development soccer and enjoys the school running club. Maja also likes to draw and paint and is quite the artist. She has started Junior High School in the Late Immersion French Program this year and is working hard to keep up with school work while missing many days due to her ski training and racing schedule. |
