| Introduction | The adventure of This Old Cape House began almost 8 years ago during the first time my husband and I visited Cape Cod. We instantly fell in love with this magical place and immediately started looking for a house. We lived in NYC so it seemed strange to friends and family that we would want a house so far away but we knew this was the place we were meant to be! We immersed ourselves in everything Cape Cod. We knew we wanted to be on the Bay side of the Cape and focused on an area that spanned 5 towns. The hunt took 3 years! We looked at so many houses, studying their history to such a degree, that I felt I could become a local historian! Eventually we found "The Old Girl" in fall of 2012--this, after a couple heart-breaking quests for other houses we thought were perfect at the time. In the end, we wound up with the perfect house for us and every day since have reveled in how lucky we are to have found it! As they say, the rest is history! Here is our story. |
| Interests | I LOVE old stuff and re-purposing old stuff. My job revolves around old stuff. Having items around me with history makes me happy and so does searching for these items. Having an old house to fill with these treasures is a dream come true. |
