| Introduction | I am a writer, photographer and radio producer working in Mexico and Central America, and the senior editor with Makeshift Magazine. I stay on top of Mexico's drug war, and how it spills across nearby borders, as well as regional politics, immigration, indigenous conflict, environment, human rights issues and underground economies, as well as general news and culture.
I started this blog while working in Monrovia, Liberia from 2008 - 2010. In general, I use it as an outlet for things that fascinate me but have no place in the media market or otherwise think is important, a place to link people to other writers, photographers, projects, articles, blogs, or just to get ideas whirring around my head, out. As this is my site, all visual and written content is on here is mine, unless otherwise quoted, linked or noted. If I forgot to credit something, please let me know ASAP.
