| Introduction | Hi! I'm Georgina Jacobs, and I am an English coach. I have a degree in Spanish/English Translation and more than 20 years’ experience of translating and proofreading text, and teaching English for specific purposes (ESP). I love my job as an ESP coach because 1️⃣ it is goal-oriented: I can use my skills and knowledge to help others to achieve clear specific objectives. 2️⃣ it is challenging: I must adapt and find the best way to meet each person's needs. 3️⃣ it is interesting: As I work one-on-one with students and professionals from different industries, fields, and backgrounds, I'm continuously updating data and learning about a wide variety of topics. ✔ A quick outline of my professional background: Translated medical journals and taught Medical English ➕ gave in-company and online Business English courses (KPMG, HSBC Bank, Banco Galicia, Movistar, Telecom, Manpower, etc.) ➕ helped professionals prepare for interviews, dissertations, presentations, and congresses ➕ prepared students for all kinds of exams (Cambridge PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, BEC; TRINITY, USMLE, TOEFL, GMAT, GRE, among others, including exams to become civil servants in Spain) |
