| Introduction | has been working in the field of education for the past fifteen years. He has taught in both public and private schools with experience teaching at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. For the past six years, he has served as an administrator of a K-12 Christian school. Jim has often been at the forefront of innovation; his vision for change led him to rewrite the environmental curriculum for the National Boy Scouts Association at age twenty. His vision for elementary science education in urban schools earned him national recognition from SECME, inc., an award-winning organization that promotes science education among minority students. His vision for teacher-education inspired him to document his first year of teaching and later publish it as a research article in The Elementary School Journal. He has been invited as a motivational speaker to share his presentations with teachers and other educational organizations. He is a graduate of the University of Florida with a Master’s in Education. He lives in Gainesville, Florida, with his wife, Hannah, and his two sons. |
