Introduction We grew up on a wheat farm in the middle of Kansas. We didn’t know how to milk a cow, raise chickens or tend a garden. We spent more time on tractors instead of feeling the earth under our feet and fingernails. How is it that we ate meat every day, but never saw anything between life and a paper wrapped frozen meat cube? It's not our parents fault. It's a modern epidemic. Americans have slowly removed themselves from the relationship between food and how it got to the plate. This blog is about our own journey to reclaim that relationship and to become what we always thought we were, Farmers.
