Introduction Greetings, science enthusiasts! I'm Dale Alan Bryant, a writer of General Science essays for the General Reader; mainly, astronomy, evolution, human origins - and a bunch of other stuff! My first published essay appeared on the homepage of the American Association of Variable Star Observers, in 2012. The title is, "Exoplanets and the Search for Extraterrestrial Life", under the Variable Stars sub-heading: The Stories Variables Tell. I recently finished a course at the University of Edinburgh on Astrobiology, taught by Dr. Charles Cockell. Very similar to Exobiology, Astrobiology is the field of astronomy which deals with prospects for life outside our Earth, but, takes into account, Earth-based life, as it's starting point.
Interests The Cosmological Principle Homogeneity means that there is no preferred location in the Universe. That is, no matter where you are in the Universe, if you look at the Universe, it will look the same. Isotropy means that there is no preferred direction in the Universe.
Favorite Movies Apollo 13; ET; Close Encounters; The Right Stuff.......more.
Favorite Music Steely Dan, Van Halen, Queen, Yes, Electric Light Orchestra - I just know I'm missing some here!
Favorite Books The Origins of Humankind, Science, Numbers and I, On the Origin of Species, Primate Evolution - there are too many more to mention here, but many are by Arthur C. Clarke.

The children are waiting! Please tell them the story about the bald frog with the wig:

Once, upon, a time -- there was born (well, no - "spawned") - a teeny-weenie, itsy-bitsy, almost - but not quite - yellow, tadpole, named, "Ribbit". Talk, about, a head of hair!! -
