| Introduction | I am a biophysicist who taught thermodynamics to engineering students for many years. In an effort to make sense out of it maximally, almost a joke with thermo as little of it is intuitive in any way, I made a great effort to understand statistical mechanics. Some 35 years of trying later, I and my group have stumbled upon a new and more precise statistics, as extreme and implausible as that sounds, that makes possible a new and more precise statistical mechanics. |
