| Introduction | After 20 years living in the freethinker haven of Upstate New York, I now find myself in deep red Christian territory. As a consequence I founded the Springfield Area Freethinkers’ Meetup. We who are not churchgoers need to find one another.I hope this blog will be another way of reaching out. I’ve always loved writing, but could never settle on a theme that was right for me. After my father’s death in 2000, I sat down and wrote “The Gift of a Wise Man,” which appeared in the Oct./Nov. 2007 issue of Free Inquiry. Which is more important to you and why: flexibility or expandability?
This is way too easy. After all, expandability is form of flexibility. Think of elastic! If you are flexible you can expand. So the answer is, both and neither.
