| Introduction | I've been married since February 16th, 2006 to my wonderful husband, Jay. On December 29th, 2007, after 24 hours of hard labor and 2 hours and 45 minutes of pushing-without any drugs-Jace Graeson Britt entered the world! (To anyone out there who thinks it can't be done, you need to look deep within yourself and you MAY find the strength and determination to do what is BEST for you and your baby. It is such an AMAZING thing to be able to fully feel and experience your birth. Ok, enough preaching for now.) I have the BEST parents any girl could ask for! They have taught me about UNCONDITIONAL love and how to live it, no matter what. They have been so supportive of all our choices and decisions in raising Jace. I love the fact that we have two allies backing us up in our beliefs and ideas. As I have researched attachment parenting, natural childbirth, extended breastfeeding, co-sleeping (all the "hippie" ideas we have had), I realized my parents did all those things with me and weren't even really aware that's what they were doing. They just PARENTED! I guess the apple doesn't really fall far from the tree. |

| Favorite Music | Oh, I think it's pretty random...I love classic rock, any and all 80's, old-school rap and early 90's hip-hop, and of course some country! Some of my fav artists/groups...let's see, OH anyone who knows me knows that I LOVE Kid Rock! I think this about sums it up..."I like country, soul, rock-n-roll And I love me some hip hop I'm a redneck rock-n-roll son of Detroit".I will admit, I love Britney and Mariah, too! LOL Crazy and all! Lynyrd Skynyrd, who can't appreciate Sweet Home Alabama??? Oh and Journey, The Eagles, Chicago...my list could go on and on! |
| Favorite Books | Oh, I love to read but can't seem to find the time like I used to. Right now the type of books that I've been reading are about natural childbirth, breastfeeding, attachment parenting, anti-vaccinating, baby-wearing, organic living, etc. I have somehow reinvented myself into someone most people would not think I would become. (Though, trust me, I am still a "subscriber" so to speak...I still love celebrity gossip magazines-though I've been trying to cut back on them since it's such a waste). :( I recently jumped on the "Twilight" bandwagon and read all 4 books in the first week and a half after I quit my job!!! |
