| Introduction | Born and brought up in Village - SEHRI in TEHSIL- KHARKHODA, Distt Sonepat, Haryana in a FARMER –SOLDIER family with deep and strong social connection/roots in the area. Four generations have served in the Army and presently there are four serving officers in the family including two lady officers in Army and Air Force respectively. Father and grandfather served in WW-2 in Mesopotamia (today’s Iraq) in 17 Poona Horse. My only son is a MAJOR in the Army. With initial schooling from SAINIK SCHOOL CHITTORGARH (Raj), joined NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY and later was commissioned in INFANTRY. SERVED AS A MEMBER OF THE SERVICES SELECTION BOARD. There is not a border area and INSURGENCY in the country where I have not served including SIACHIN (HIGHEST BATTLE FIELD IN THE WORLD). With impeccable integrity and deep value system learnt from my rural moorings and grooming in the Army, I have been DECORATED FOR BRAVERY (shaurya chakra) BY THE PRESIDENT OF INDIA AND COMMENDATIONS FOR MY ADMINISTRATIVE ACUEMAN BY HIGHEST MILITARY AUTHORITIES. |

| Interests | Travelling, reading & writing, poetry, social panchayats conflict resolution, social scientist, counselor and animal rights. |
| Favorite books | Extensively read with main focus on National and International historical perspective. Post superannuation, I am a social scientist researching on the HERITAGE OF JAT RACE AND THEIR ROLE IN NATION BUILDING SPECIALLY DEFENCE. Authors – VS NaIpaul, Leon Uris, Sameul Hutington ,Tom Clency, Tofler. Apart from Gurucharan das, Arun Shorie, khushwant singh, Mark tully, Shashi Tharoor, Amareta sen, Bipin Chander and a number of Indian authors with main focus on events of last two centuries. |
