Introduction Four score and seven years ago....oh wait, I think someone used that. Well a few years ago - almost ten now - I stumbled on this gem called Costa Rica. I flew here with a husband, three dogs, and a cat. At last count, I have two guinea pigs and two kids. The rest is, as they say, history. Funny how things work. I've run my own business, taught, produced radio documentaries, and now I'm following my destiny, which I tend to loose in the mail occassionally. If you find it, could you email me. I love that you stop by because I'm here to connect. Connect about the trials of life and how we can all get through it together. I share tips on living well, taming the crazy voices in our heads, and managing children as a single parent. My son has Down Syndrome, and I will share with you the depths of grief and joy in this up and down journey of special needs. Divorce, lonliness, money issues? Phew....what's left? Climbing the Empire State builiding I guess.
Interests Loons.Bears. Moose. I'm big on moose. I've seen them roaming the wild, babies in tow. Incredible. My daughter has the biggest moose-stuffed-animal collection in Costa Rica. All these animals: interest in Mother Nature. I read; write; dance; and I'm about to take up running! Yikes. And dance! Help me!
Favorite Movies Dogville, The Loved Ones, Seven Beauties, Wizard of Oz, Belle de Jour, The Secret, What the Bleep Do I Know?, anything Ingmar Bergman makes...and I can never remember more than that. It's like asking me what I want for Christmas!
Favorite Music Jazz, country, pop, classical, blues, Not into New Age unless it involves a large Swedish person that is kneading out the knots in my back.
Favorite Books To Kill a Mocking Bird, Operating Instructions, Lord of the Flies, Naked, The Words to Say It, Huckleberry Finn.....there's more, but again, it's like the Christmas thing.

Do you look away?
