| Introduction | I am a mother, a wife, a teacher, a designer, a daughter, a neighbor, a friend, a colleague, a therapist, a student, an advocate....it depends on what day of the week it is and what time of the day it is. Just like any woman worth her salt, I am usually multi-tasking. I have three beautiful kids, one of whom is deaf, blind, and struggles with cerebral palsy as a result of a congenital CMV virus. Obviously, this road would not necessarily be part of a career woman's plan for her future, and in my case, it certainly wasn't...however the world didn't stop spinning, and my heart continued to beat...and here we are. |
