| Introduction | My life before Dysautonomia, I remember it like it was yesterday. Hiking the trails of Big Bear at 48, days at the beach, volunteering at church functions, standing at the top of a ladder painting the trim of my house, a spotless house, gardening, waking at dawn and in constant motion until late at night. This was my normal, a normal I took for granted, and the normal I wish I could have back. When I was hopitalized with Dysautonomia, I remember telling my pastor, "being in the hopital is driving me crazy, I don't sit well!" I didn't realize at the time that sitting would be my new normal. |
