Introduction	I am married to Josh who is also a teacher. We have 5 kids- Ella (12) Elsa(11)Jordan(6) Mia(3) Noah (10 weeks) and my angel Jakob who was stillborn. We used to live in Tasmania but decided we wanted to move to the Territory and work amongst our INdigienous mob and try to help the. I feel we are coming to end of that journey- we have all experienced so much and our eyes have been opened but for me it is time to put our own kids first and head back home to Tassie. OUr precious little girl Mia was born in Tennant Creek with Spina Bifida, Hydrocephelas and Arnold Chiari ii malformation. We were told she would never survive birth but she has proved doctors wrong every time. However, in October 2010 Mia had a shunt blockage and stopped breathing. She was rushed to darwin for surgery and then onto Adelaide for more surgery. She came back to me but has suffered some brain damage. I have not been back at school since instead staying home doing therapy with Mia and now looking after Noah aswell. Mia starts Pre-school this year which is exciting yet scary (for me).
