Introduction Originally from Albany, NY, I came to Las Vegas in 2003 by way of Wyoming and Utah. I have two grown kids (both singer-songwriters), an 13-year-old grandson and a 2-year-old granddaughter.
In October 2009, after querying agents for two years, I decided to self-publish my memoir, Bastard Husband: A Love Story. It’s a chronicle of my first year alone in Sin City after a midlife divorce and how I transitioned from being sad and miserable to trying stand-up comedy for the first time at age 46. My book was the basis for my one-woman show, “D Words: The Funny Side of Dating, Divorce and Other Delights,” which ran at the Alexis Park Resort, just a stone's throw from the Las Vegas Strip. In addition to writing, I love to speak and have presented on a variety of topics, mostly on writing and the creative process. Need a speaker or emcee for a corporate training or special event?
