Introduction	Hi Everyone! Welcome to my blog and to my studio where I create art every day in a variety of mediums. Creating art is my touchstone - keeping me grounded throughout the years that I spent in the public sphere as a nurse educator. Today, my motto is to "make pretty things and travel" so I have been busy working towards these goals. My creations are for sale and I would love to share them with you! I have been rug hooking since I was a little girl and helped my mother and grandmother with the mats that were used in our home. My mother made her living as a seamstress so my sewing skills came first. Then came art lessons in school and the encouragement to push the limits of what I could create from whatever was at hand. I use up-cycled materials in my textile art as much as possible and have a wonderful time shopping in second hand shops or yard sales for the perfect fabric. All my work is done in a smoke-free environment and quality control is taken care of by my dear friend Sir Sebastien, commonly known as the little dog we live with.
