| Introduction | I'm a 35-year-old mom of 5 kids -- 2 girls, 3 boys. One of my sons was diagnosed with Sotos syndrome in 2006, a few years and a lifetime ago, and I started this blog the day we got the diagnosis. It has been my lifeline since then. I blog semi-anonymously here. What does that mean? With rare exceptions, I do not refer to my children by their names, for their privacy. But over the years I have told more people in my real life about this space. I have tried hard not to censor myself, even knowing that those who know me might be reading. I try to tell it like it is. If you think you know me, you can tell me if you like what you read. You can also tell me if you don't like what you read, or if your feelings get hurt -- but I'm probably not going to change anything. I stopped trying to be nice a long time ago. |
