| Introduction | I was born into fly fishing, it was in my blood. My dad started Montana Troutfitters in 1978 so when I was old enough to walk I had a fly rod in my hand. Growing up around a fly shop, you could say I was maybe a little “spoiled.” I grew up fishing with guides and my father, learning the tips and tricks of years of experience at an early age and rowing a boat before most learn to fish. My passion for fishing led me to work in the fly shop throughout high school and college, doing some guiding during the summers. In January of 2006 I was offered to lead Montana Troutfitters in a new direction, and with my dad’s “blessing” I haven’t looked back, except to pick up 2 degrees in May of ’06 from MSU in Finance and Economics.
