| Introduction | I am just another average golfer guy trying to help others play better golf. I have been playing golf for more than 30 years. During that time my handicap has gone from greater than 30 to 15. It all started for me when as a young man of 19 I went to work as an insurance agent(No jokes)in an office of about 2 dozen older men. I was a good athlete then and had never played golf. It was not a "real" sport. I often ridiculed the older agents when they discussed their golf outings. After all how hard can it be to hit a ball sitting still to a target that doesn't move, no one playing defense and no referee or umpire to make a bad call? So they challenged me to go with them and give it a try. Which I did and I was terrible. My baseball swing did not work very well on the golf course. Although thoroughly embarrassed I left the course that day saying "I know I can play better than this". I was hooked. And so began my quest to learn how to play this wonderful game. I bought clubs, went to the driving range, listened to friends and even took advice from the guys in the office in a effort to improve. Yet very little progress was made. I can remember trying to break 150! |
