| Introduction | I was born in Ireland and grew up in Cork City. I went to Nursing School in London England where I met my husband Jeff, and we moved to MI. I started my nursing career in Kalamazoo MI in CCU at Bronson Methodist Hospital. I spent my last 2 of 7 years at Bronson on the flight team Careflite. We then moved to NC and I spent 4 years flying with Medcenter Air. Great times for sure but all good times come to an end and we moved to Ireland. By then we had 3 young children in tow but life was good I was home and close to family.We lived in Limerick and I attended the University of Limerick. In 94 we moved to London I worked in the fitness industry and made new friends. We got a dog Duke and once again life was good. In 2003 we moved back to the USA because Jeff was afraid he would die in England. Heaven forbid that would happen so all 5 of us plus Duke arrive in NC. I got back into Nursing at the bedside after a hiatus and started working in MICU at CMC in Charlotte NC. I continued working in the fitness industry at the YMCA. Jeff and I are empty nesters now and old Duke died. I'm ready for the next chapter in my life. This is a personal blogg, the opinions are my own not my employers. |
