Introduction	In my work the paint and process prevail. Abstracting shapes taken from the landscape and using them as a vehicle for the paint applied in layers is how the work develops, intuitively. The physicality of the materials is what intrigues me most. In order to get the work to a point where it seems to finally live and breathe it has to get "messed up", otherwise it stagnates. This takes time and lots of patience. Abstraction has been around for seventy-five years more or less and many more discoveries are possible.
