| Introduction | Big surprise, I'm a writer. A struggling writer at best. I used to be a newspaper reporter and loved that job, but it got a bit difficult to run out to a fire or flood in the middle of the night once my children were born. I've written a semi-autobiographical novel about my crazy family, but I'm currently on the lookout for a good editor who hears my written voice and a publisher who will sell more than a few copies of my novel. I had been working as the art teacher at my kids' school, but budget cuts took their school away June 2008. Now, the California budget being what it is, local schools have frozen their own budgets and my type of job. So, now what? Read my blog and you'll find out more about my nutty family, my crazy life, what it's like to have various surgeries to offset the inevitable effects of having the breast and ovarian cancer causing BRCA genetic mutation gene (it doesn't actually cause it, it actually... not now Joey, tell them later. Okay, I'll write about that a lot more) and, well, too many stories that pop into my head, usually just as I am attempting to go to sleep at night. Thanks for visiting! |
