Introduction I had a tick bite in May of 2009 and by Labor Day, I was not feeling well. I kept thinking I was coming down with the dreaded Swine Flu, but never did. Having moved the previous summer from Ohio, I didn't have a Dr. By October I knew something was wrong. So, I found a Gynecologist and went for my annual. My glands in my groin and armpits were swollen. I told her that I was bitten by a tick. She did a CBC and tested my thyroid, that's it. I asked her to test my B12 and Vit D. I got a copy of the tests a couple weeks later and everything was "normal". My B12 was 419 and D was 40. Low according to many. The Dr. called me back about a month later and asked how I was feeling. I told her, "pretty crappy". She advised me to go to my GP for a Lyme test. I did not have a GP so I went to a walk in clinic. My doc there did a lot of tests including a Labcorp Western Blot. Thankfully, I tested positive the first time. I was in a bit of denial because the teeny tiny tick was on me for less than 2 hours. I spoke to a friend that had been treated for over a year for Lyme Disease and decided to see her LLD (Lyme Literate Doc). I knew I wanted to tackle this stupid disease.
