Introduction	"The Legalist" is the forum for legal news, commentary and humor by me -- Adam Freedman. A former columnist for New York Law Journal Magazine, my legal commentary has appeared in the New York Times, Corporate Counsel, and Ricochet.com. In addition my podcasts on the law are featured on iTunes and quickanddirtytips.com, under the name "Legal Lad." My book on Legal Language, The Party of the First Part (Holt), was praised by the late William Safire as "a lighthearted but lucid explanation of legalese."
