Introduction	An educator for over two decades, I've seen my share of students. At-risk or traditional, they all have common traits. Education has common qualities as well in traditional and alternative settings. For the last twelve years, I've had the privilege of teaching in an alternative school. This experience has transformed me as a teacher, challenging me to rethink how I educate, why I educate, and what I teach. I hope you enjoy this blog and that it challenges the way you view education. It isn't about the teaching. It's about doing what's best for the students. For me, they aren't just students and it isn't just teaching, both are my passions.
