| Introduction | I have been a resident at the Tassajara Zen Mountain Center for the past ten years, serving as the Director for the last three. At the end of this summer I will probably be leaving the monastery in search of perspective on what the next steps will be. My hope is to travel to Asia for a number of new opportunities. Some of my possible plans include receiving Ayurvedic treatment, helping to build a Zen Center in Thiruvannamalai in Tamil Nadu, volunteering at an orphanage in Nepal, visiting Buddhist pilgrimage sites, being on retreat in Myanmar, and taking some time to rest, recuperate, and reflect on where to put my energies in this next phase of my life. Right now I am open to the exploration of many different avenues, and am casting a wide net out to my friend and fellow practitioners for suggestions and support in this time of transition. |
