| Introduction | Hi there! I'm a young adult who was born into a Chinese family and lives in Southeast Asia. I have a Western outlook but was raised with core Asian (Chinese) values. I also have a growing interest towards China which I think will be one of the foremost global powers in the near future. Furthermore, my personal goal is to become a professional in my chosen field, probably something concerning the social sciences. My blog title, 'Yappy Yuppie Puppy', is significant to my current stage of personal development. 'Yappy' means that I like to talk - about a lot of things - which I convert into writing; 'yuppie' is a word to describe a young and ambitious person who lives in the city and is a professional; though, I'm not a professional yet so the word 'puppy' describes me figuratively as a young adult who has aspirations and hopes to become a professional in my chosen field.
