| Introduction | Hi I`m Jan-Carsten Kraemer. I come from the middle part of Germany. My home town is Friedensdorf. The translation is “Peacevillage”. Friedensdorf is in a hilly area with deep forests, old houses, farms and a bunch of horses. As you probably know, soccer is the dominant sport in Germany. From young to old they are all crazy about soccer games. Beside the soccer fields in our district there are a lot of churches call Free Evangelical churches, which is not the same as the Evangelical Free churches in the US. Basically, these are Christian churches that are in the same organization. There are thirteen churches within 7 miles of each other. I grew up in a Christian environment. My whole family belongs to a free evangelical church. My father works as a machine-engineer. My mother is the creative part of our family and she works as a free-lance artist. She is very good at expressing social or political issues through her paintings (johannakraemer.de). |
