Introduction Fr. Rossi, a Crosier for 56 years and priest for 49, has been pastor, educator, author and religious leader in the Crosier Order and Church world-wide. His international experience in the U.S., the Congo, Brazil, Indonesia and Europe has given him a broad view of and sensitivity to the Church. The charism of the Crosier Order has shaped him in the spirituality of the Cross, inspiring him to create the Crosier Spiritual Exercises, a ministerial tool to accompany people toward hope in the midst of personal suffering. Now at Crosier Village Ministries in Phoenix, AZ, he is founder and director of ESEC, a two-year training program for lay Hispanic spiritual directors and of ekLAYsia, a one-year program to empower lay people to step up to greater responsibility in contemporary Church affairs. He paints for pleasure. In 2019, Fr. Rossi celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of his diaconate ordination, the beginning of his preaching ministry in the Church. This blog, An Uncommon Catechesis, wishes to gratefully mark that grace of his life.
