IntroductionDr. Kenneth Reckhow is Professor Emeritus at Duke University in the Nicholas School of the Environment. During his 30 year tenure as a Professor at Duke, Dr. Reckhow taught courses in water quality management and modeling, environmental decision analysis, and environmental statistics; his research at Duke was also focused on those topics. Dr. Reckhow has served as Chair of the National Academy of Sciences Panel on the USEPA Total Maximum Daily Load Program (2001), as a member of the National Academy of Sciences Panel on the USGS National Water Quality Assessment (2000-01), as a member of the National Academy of Sciences Panel on Restoration of the Everglades Ecosystem (2003-05), and as Chair of the National Academy of Sciences Panel on Chesapeake Bay Restoration.Dr. Reckhow has a B.S. in Engineering Physics from Cornell University and a Ph.D. from Harvard University in Environmental Systems Analysis.
