| Introduction | Since 1994 I have been the pastor of Sellwood Baptist Church in Portland, OR. Before that I was a missionary in South Brazil for many years. Until just recently I have also served as a police chaplain with the Portland Police Bureau. Now, however, God has a new assignment for us. My wife and I have been appointed with WorldVenture and are preparing to move to Ireland to help plant a new church in Sligo, a small city in NW Ireland. I'm married to Ramel, a crazy, beautiful redhead that I love more than life itself. We have three great kids, Jonathan, Chris, and Simoni who have given us ten wonderful grandchildren. We are truly blessed. |
| Interests | I love fishing, reading, making music, guns, and spending time with friends and family. I also love motorcycles, especially my Black Beauty, a big black n' chrome touring bike that always makes my heart beat faster whenever I look at her. |
| Favorite movies | I don't have a specific one but I love old westerns and murder mysteries. Jimmy Stewart is my favorite old-time actor. |
| Favorite music | I love Brazilian music, in fact, Latin music of all kinds, plus contemporary Christian, and Big Band stuff. Now I'm learning about Irish music and starting to love that too. |
| Favorite books | The Bible is the best book of all time, but I also like anything by Ludlum, Clancy, John D. MacDonald, Louis L'Amour,Patrick McManus, C.S. Lewis, or Randy Alcorn. |
