| Introduction | I was born in the capital city of Mexico. Much alike around one fifth of the people living in this world, I grew up drinking fresh bottled water, I went to the sea for the first time when I was eleven and the mountains surrounding my city were rather a problem, keeping fresh air from flowing and get rid of the fumes in the huge valley. My clearest and happiest childhood memories are associated with the forest and the countryside. Perhaps, none of this had occurred to me, were it not for the time spent in Canada (twice as a child and an adult), a place where country life is the norm and cities are like smudges in the landscape. There’s no better way to experience your own reality as when being outside from it, immersed in another. |
