| Introduction | Hilary Berg Severson was home schooled K through high school by her parents Rea and Russ Berg, founders of Beautiful Feet Books. At the age of 14 she wrote A History of the Horse: A Literature Approach. The study uses notable books about horses to learn history, and has sold over 10,000 copies nationwide. She majored in History at California Polytechnic State University and was the recipient of the Dr. Dan Krieger Award for Excellence in the Study of History. Upon graduation she taught at San Luis Obispo Classical Academy. There she taught 3rd through 8th grade home schooled students History and Language Arts. Currently she is tutoring high school students on-line in 20th Century Literature and SAT essay prep. For many years Hilary has advised home schooling parents from Hawaii to Massachusetts with her parents publishing company. Hilary loves reading, traveling to historic places, and inspiring students love of history! |
