| Introduction | I would like to introduce myself briefly. First of all: I am and have been a teacher educator for the larger part of my career. For three years I taught management in a private college in Penang, Malaysia. Our institute also offers several educational programs at diploma & degree levels such as business, accounting and finance and international business management. I am a proponent for educational innovations such as 21st century learning and new pedagogy in teaching. I am interested in my own professional group, teacher educators, and my current research is about the development of the professional identity of teacher educators. There is no profession for which it is more important to Teach as they Preach as educators of teachers are vital in making a difference. I end my introduction with a quote from Mahatma Gandhi 'Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.' |
