| Introduction | I surround myself with creative people and projects. I then bring those projects to the best-fit audience because I care about representation, stories, and the power of entertainment to build communities. I have direct experience in this process, but I am also a result of it. I grew up in a lovely but sheltered small town. Through my exposure to theater and entertainment, I began to understand other peoples’ perspectives, find community, and make meaning. I am the product I am trying to create in the next generation, and I understand better than anyone the importance of community responsibility in artistic programming. |
