| Introduction | I am an old hippie and 73 years old; I just can't believe it.The outside looks rough, but the inside feels little change; who knew inside every old person is a seven year old struggling to escape! I was born in London, England, lived in Wales, Australia, Nicaragua,and Mexico, . I have a great husband, three interesting children with very pleasing partners, 8 amazingly different grandchildren, 4 dogs, 8 cats, all strays. I now live in Point Douglas in Winnipeg, this is an inner city "undesirable" location; but when you can get a 103 year old house right by the river for $95,000, what's so undesirable. Here we are The Jones! I survived a gothic childhood and now have a very good life. I have a fairly rare exotic disease,SCLERODERMA which is incurable, but has turned me into a leather woman, that's not a dominatrix, but literally my skin has gone leathery. I am fighting back and trying to squeeze as much fun out of life. I used to paint and my older daughter is a visual artist. It has been discovered that concurrently with the Systemic Scleroderma I also have Myositis which is another auto immune disease which slowly destroys muscles. |
