Introduction	You might think I'm a pilot or astronaut but I'm neither. The "flying" reference is to Flying Woman, both the name of my graphic communications company and the piece of art that inspired it all. To create "Flying Mama" seems a natural progression (in my own mind anyway). I've lived in Atlanta, San Francisco, and New York but now share a 1 bedroom condo in the Northwest Industrial District of Portland with my husband of 1 year (and best friend for 11). I'm 38 years old, a designer and event producer with a love of photography, art and yoga. My husband, Tom, is 43, a software architect and lover of golf and cycling. This is our first marriage and our first baby.
