IntroductionYes, I'm Virginia - sometimes Ginn, sometimes Ginny. I've had a full, rich life & colored outside the lines a bit. I walked the 800 kilometer Camino pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain (2009)! I served in AmeriCorps*VISTA (adult literacy) in Santa Fe (2007-2010); lived and worked in Ukraine (started with Peace Corps in 2005, medivaced out and was medically seperated, but I went back on my own dime till 2007). I retired from the US Air Force (1978-1999) after a delightful career (including years as an avionics technician on the flight line and recruiting experience too). I taught AF JROTC (1999-2002). I have a wonderful spouse (my high school sweetheart!)& a caring, crazy family (including a tribal-leader, circus-band member, & a belly-dancer!). My daily delights include writing, reading in the hammock, & walking my pound-puppy as the sun rises. My life is filled with joy & abundance. Life is good...and it just keeps getting better and better! 8-) I am on Facebook too: Virginia J. Pulver.
Interestsanimals, spirituality (Christan Science), books, films, the Camino de Santiago de Compostela, life in general....
Favorite moviesWhatever I most recently watched! I love movies and I am sooooo grateful for NETFLIX! Foreign films, dramas, comedys, love stories, chick-flicks, period-drama...love'em all. Pop some popcorn and let's settle in for the evening!
Favorite musicAny kind of live music moves me - though I don't care for opera.
Favorite booksLove John Irving, Ann Tyler, all the Russian novelists...I always have a couple novels going at one time. I prefer classics but read widely. Check out www.BookMooch.com - a book exchange for book lovers.

Your pajamas have duckies on them. Why did you switch from choo-choos?

One of my heros is "Ed, the Duck" - he is a cultural icon I inherited from my son Caleb. This special rubber-duckie wears chainmail and belives in service-before-self. He makes me smile - hence rubber duckies on my pjs!
