| Introduction | I am a 72 year old male who has practiced the teachings of Nichiren Daishonin for 45 years. I am not affiliated with any specific organization, but do consider myself an adherent of the Daishonin's teachings as interpreted by Nikko and Nichikan, the 2nd and 26th High Priests of Nichiren Shoshu. Because of my singular experience living in Japan, working on the translation of Nichiren's writings, working with top representatives of both Nichiren Shoshu laity and priesthood and maintaining close relationships on both sides of the current tragic schism, I believe I may have a certain unique perspective on the current state of affairs with regard to Nichiren Believers. |
