IntroductionWell... Its a little odd talking about myself.... feels sort of like a grade school assignment.... but here goes nothing. My name is Tim Lawson, and basically all you really need to know is that I like to run. I have grown up in the Portland area with my brother and two sisters, and I used to hate running. I was always that short chubby kid in class who got picked on, and whenever there was any sort of race in PE, everyone wanted to run against me because it would make them look good. I think my fastest mile in eighth grade was about 8:55. Although I didnt like running, I liked Basketball, and I played it from third grade all the way through highschool. The summer before my senior year, I decided to try to get into shape for the season, and I got lost on a run. I wanted to run only 5 or 6 miles.... but because of a wrong turn I more than doubled that. I had run further than I thought I could, so I decided to try to find out how far I could run, so I kept running further and further on my own. The sense of achievement was incredible, and so when I found out that there were really long races out there... I signed up in short order.
InterestsBasically..... I like to run.... as much as I can. My favorite races to run are basically any races 100miles or further. So far, the longest race I have taken part in was a 6 day race. Besides running.... I enjoy photography, film, art, and hanging out with friends. I am not married so I have the time to meddle in a large variety of hobbies.
Favorite moviesI like the obvious ones (Prefontaine, Forrest Gump, and Chariots of Fire) And also.... Gladiator, Troy, Lord of the Rings, The Rock, A Perfect World, Rainman, Count of Monte Cristo, Pirates of the Carribean, Patriot...... and if its a comedy.... I like it
Favorite musicBasically... If I can run to it, I like it. However I cant stand country or Gangster Rap
Favorite booksChi Running, Wild at Heart, Bowerman and the Men of Oregon, and my Bible among others.
