| Introduction | I’m a Swede located in England since 1999. I have been designing and sewing clothes for almost 20 years now but never quite developed the knack for knitting. It doesn’t matter what I do, I can’t get the thread tension right. A couple of years ago I went to a medieval festival in Sweden and learnt something called nal-binding, a type of crocheting done with a large flat needle. In contrast with knitting this is something I seem to have a natural talent for. |
| Interests | Textiles craft. I have been designing and making clotes for about 20 years and am trying to branch out to crafts involving yarns. Me and a pair of knitting needles currently do not get on. I simply cannot get the tension right. But I took to Nal Binding (a medieval method of 'crocheting' using a large flat bone needle) as though it was something I had forgotten rather than something I was learning from scratch. I am also trying to learn to crochet. |
