Introduction	Gerhard gardens on a small suburban lot in Davis, a university town in the Sacramento Valley. We have a Mediterranean climate with hot summers and mild winters. Pretty much everything grows here with sufficient irrigation. Davis is in USDA zone 9b, Sunset zone 14.
