Introduction | I am a teacher, mother, and dreamer who loves to scrapbook, and has recently taught herself to sew. I am in love with aprons, and all things vintage... After a magical childhood of making purses from Kleenex colored with Magic Markers (they didn't hold up well) and stints at cross stitching (it simply made me cross) and making clothes for my cats out of washcloths, I grew older, put my Magic Markers in a box of ever-increasing craft supplies, earned a degree in Education. I became a high school English teacher who enjoyed putting pretty fonts on assignment sheets. Then I had twin boys, and decided to trade in Shakespeare for Sesame Street. Now that my little boys have started school, I too, have returned to the classroom - but I haven't given up my creating... Now my box with Magic Markers had long since morphed into a basement half filled with crafts and pretties... my "studio" that is my refuge. My love of vintage is balanced with my sense of play with whimsical touches, and my artwork will find its way into your heart. Even without using Magic Markers... |
