| Introduction | Welcome to my "Depression Confessions". I am a Christian who suffers from depression. This was something I used to be ashamed of, but, through a friend and a wonderful bible study, I learned that depression is an illness, like heart disease, diabetes, or MS. It's not something to be ashamed of, it simply is! Some people suffer from acute depression, which is usually due to life circumstances. However, some people, such as myself, suffer from long-term depression, which occurs regardless of current life circumstances. |
