| Introduction | annajcook has just entered her thirties, an age she has aspired to most of her sentient life. She is a queer feminist, historian, librarian and blogger who lives in the Boston metropolitan area with her partner Hanna and a black cat named Geraldine. She grew up the daughter of quiet leftist radicals in a conservative corner of West Michigan and before moving to Boston spent time in Oregon, Missouri, Indiana and Aberdeen, Scotland. Her hopes for the next thirty years include returning to the British Isles, conducting an oral history project on the topic of comparative US-UK cultures of education, living in a lighthouse, marrying her girlfriend, and making headway on her “books to read” list. |
